Lito Tajeda-Flores reexamined his earlier words, 23 years later, in a follow up essay, Beyond Climbing Games: Alpinism As Humanism. He added that playing the game always happens in a larger context and how it is played often has an effect on others. First published in Summit magazine in 1990, this piece of doesn’t get the same attention as The Games Climbers Play, but we think it an important companion to the first essay.
